Earlier this month, Year 10 were invited to apply for a role as Prefect next year.  As our Year 11 pupils enter exam season, Year 10 will step up to fill their positions and we are so pleased that so many pupils in Year 10 have completed application forms for one of the many roles of responsibility advertised.  The first part of the process is to elect our Head Prefects next year and on Monday nine candidates addressed their year group during assembly to ask for their vote.  Each and every candidate made a super pitch, speaking with confidence and passion about why they would like the job. Then all Year 10 pupils headed to the polls to vote.  Many thanks to Electoral Services at South Ribble Local Council who loaned us a ballot box for the occasion, it certainly added a level of authenticity to our democratic process! Following our pupil vote, all staff are also invited to vote and candidates will take part in a formal interview with the Headteacher, SLT and Head of Year before our Head Prefects are announced.  We are looking forward to finalising all Head Prefects, Senior Prefects and Prefects roles over the coming weeks.
