On Wednesday this week, all Year 7 and 8 pupils attended a special assembly with a representative from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to learn more about their lifeboats and stations across the UK and their work protecting hundreds of communities around the UK and Ireland with their 24-hour search and rescue service.   The RLNI also spoke to pupils about the importance and principles of water safety and looked at the dangers of playing around open water.  Pupils discussed survival skills and learned more about how to stay safe, how to float on their backs and they enjoyed looking at and in some cases trying on a range of safety equipment.  Thank you to the RNLI for making time to visit us this week and for sharing your expertise and advice with our pupils.
